Morning walk across Brooklyn Bridge …Cab to Momofuku Milk Bar on 56th Street for birthday cake truffles (aka little balls of happiness) …Walk into Central Park …Popped into Apple Store on 5th Ave to play with the merch …MoMA …Taxi to Chelsea Market …Picked up lunch at The Lobster Place …Found a shady spot on the High Line (coolest public park ever) to eat …Walked the entire thing – from Gansevoort Street in the Meatpacking District up to West 30th Street …Over to East 35th street to catch the ferry to Williamsburg …Smorgasburg (sadly much too hot to stay and eat anything) …Cruised to Bedford Avenue …First stop, Pagoto for organic fro yo …Mario chilled out on the grass while I popped into Catbird and bought pretty pinky ring …Stopped in at the Brooklyn Art Library to check out the Sketchbook Project …Taxi back to house in Bedford-Stuyvesant …Snooze time …Back on the train to Williamsburg …Drinks and dinner at Café de La Esquina (they let you keep the jar of salsa!) …Pop into Brooklyn Bowl (hoping for live music, but was not our scene) …Thought we would try to take in the views of Manhattan from the rooftop patio at Whythe Hotel, but there was a fire truck outside and management was not letting anyone in …Found a buzzy spot – Kinfolk Studios – just steps away …One last drink and a little dance …He says it’s been one of the best days of his life…Mission accomplished.
