’70s child Born and raised in Bermuda > Ryerson University educated > 1998 | First travel feature published on January 23 occupying a full-half page of Bermuda’s Royal Gazette newspaper. It was about a trip to Italy, and was accompanied by a photo of Pavarotti that I took myself while on a ferry from Naples to Capri > Work as a corporate event coordinator > Move to fashion marketing > Move to publishing as a production manager > 2003 | Develop and manage all aspects of Sister Underwear (this period also included producing lingerie-inspired aprons for a Ralph Lauren-owned retailer) > 2006 | Move back to publishing as an editor-in-chief > Manage two teen magazines (and one tween publication). The job is seven days a week, but there are many highlights as I get to work with amazing writers, photographers, makeup artists and stylists. Interview loads of celebs including the Olsen twins, Claire Danes, and my claim to fame is giving Nina Dobrev her first cover > 2009 | Decide to go freelance > Contracted by Cadillac Fairview to produce e-newsletter content for four shopping centers (Toronto Eaton Centre is one and I go back to my teen mag roots to create a Prom Guide for them) > 2010 | Join Artbound (crafting web content for their themed annual fundraiser) and begin planning a project in Africa | Write a five-part series on a wellness trip to Miraval Resort for > The travel writing thing starts and I get bylines in publications like Elle Canada (ok, it was only once) and Flight Centre’s magazine > Start working with The Society Global as their communications director (produce a pretty cool City Guide)  > 2011 | Travel to Kenya, Africa with Free The Children and Artbound > launches > Meet the Italian > 2012 | Lots of travel and writing for my blog, as well as Notable and LaineyGossip > Become Artbound’s communications director > Begin a 200-hour teacher training at Toronto’s 889 Yoga > 2013 | Teach my first yoga class at a writers’ workshop in Guatemala > Hit the milestone of 30 countries visited > Start writing for The Huffington Post (just so happens the first feature is on Bermuda) > Decide to move to Prague with the Italian > 2014 | Launch > 2015 | Begin writing a guidebook on relocation > Move to Uppsala, Sweden > 2016 | Launch Kickstarter campaign to present How To Make Big Moves to investors.
